Prov. 1:23
LO! I WILL POUR OUT TO YUO MY SPIRIT,
I WILL ACQUAINT YOU WITH MY WORDS.
Prov. 1:23
I have been interceeding since last Sunday for a specific group of people based on the first four chapters of Proverbs. It has been a delightful time. A time of nearness to God.
But today is different, today God has been speaking to me with words of comfort, council, and love.
Encouragement and love surrounds me even as I sit down to write.
Last night I was awoken to a time of prayer, I prayed with deep wounds in my heart, I asked God to strech out His hand and heal these people in areas where they were deeply wounded and in pain. I named each, and I just felt this love for them and ...well it is hard to describe...
Thing is this morning when I awoke my room was smelling like a hospital room, medicine type of smell- strong and pungent. I thought "What on earth is going on?" God smiled with a mischeveous smile "Bea, have you forgotten? We were tending to wounds all last night"
smile.
Any intercessor can tell you that it is rather cool when you are actually tunning in to what God desires and thus He moves about the earth...cool!
But then He goes on speaking on an on with words of encouragement, hope and love.
And then He gives me this Bible verse:
I WILL ACQUAINT YOU WITH MY WORDS.
Acquaint-make familiar.
ie. acquainted myself with the controls.
"Bea, I have heard your prayer, I will acquaint you and these people with my words.
I will become familiar to you all."
Do you want to know how important these words were to me?
Last night my son parted on a trip, they are now in a town in Mexico famous for its withcraft. There is really nothing else to see or do. I have been reading proverbs all week...fools will be destroyed; self-will...etc etc.
My son leaves telling me not to worry, "We will be careful"
What can I say? "You fool! You are going the wrong way!" I close my mouth, he knows my heart.
How can I pray? "God protect Him"? impossible! I have just been reading His word! God will not protect Him if He is acting on his self-will!
I sigh. the only prayer that can really flow is: "God open His eyes to his sin, out of mercy..."
In the natural things are not so smooth, but I see God's eyes dancing with mischief and joy and I can't help but smile...me the fool once again does not know what is going on, but if HE smiles, I can smile. It is good. It is a good day.
A DAY OF HOPE in every way.
